Provides the most current information about addiction and compulsive behavior, the progressive nature of this disease, and its effects on the entire family. Focus is also on understanding the recovery process, including Twelve Step principles and communication skills. This portion of our program includes participation of adult family members in the Family Intensive Recovery Program, beginning on Thursday and ending on Sunday.
Focuses on the disease concept by examining and identifying the disease process. While addressing "old" belief systems, emotions, and behavior patterns, this aspect emphasizes "new" values and alternatives on how we deal successfully with our condition. It teaches clear communication on who we are in relation to ourselves, the disease / dis-ease, and others.
Focuses on all aspects of the total person (physically, emotionally and spiritually), while enjoying recovery from addictive / compulsive behavior. Information is offered on proper nutrition, alternative approaches to dealing with pain, and improvement of total health.
This week focuses on the various components of quality support. A detailed summary is presented about the Twelve Steps and setting up various kinds of support, such as Crutcher's Support Groups, AA, NA, CA, GA, SLAA, sponsorship, therapy, etc.
